En el feriado del 25 de Mayo se viralizó la foto del nuevo paquete de la tradicional harina leudante, en donde ya no está el personaje de la “negrita” amasadora.

Tremendo revuelo se armó en redes durante el mediodía del 25 de Mayo, justamente una jornada con tiempo libre como para debatir estos asuntos muy en boga en todo el mundo, sobre la deconstrucción de modelos heredados. Y el tema fue la harina leudante más famosa de Argentina, la “Blancaflor”, utilizada habitualmente para postres y bizcochuelos que requieran masas que suban su tamaño gracias al aditamento de polvo para hornear, una costumbre que en otras latitudes no es usual.

Pero el eje del debate no estuvo puesto en lo culinario, o en la razón por la cual en Argentina se vende harina aditivada de fábrica con polvo leudante, sino en el histórico paquete azul que desde hace décadas envasa al producto.

Es que hasta estos días el personaje característico del envase de esa harina, era una “negrita” que supuestamente, se intuía, era quien preparaba los alimentos con el producto.

Similar al personaje de los caramelos “Sugus” algunos ni siquiera distinguían si se trataba de la representación de un ser humano o una “hormiguita”, como manifestaron varios usuarios de redes sociales.

Lo cierto es que la empresa elaboradora de la harina Blancaflor, Molinos Río de la Plata, decidió reemplazar esa imagen del personaje por considerarla estigmatizante al tratarse de una mujer negra y con (posiblemente) un traje de servicio doméstico.

El tweet que dio lugar al debate iba mucho más allá, con un mensaje que abría a la polémica desde todas las perspectivas: “La nueva normalidad deconstruida de Blancaflor quitando a la africana esclava que amasaba”.

El nuevo packaging, en cambio, es mucho más genérico, no muestra a ningún personaje específico, y sólo deja ver dos brazos de tonalidad blanca con “las manos en la masa”.

Paradójicamente la fecha de viralizacion masiva de estas modificaciones en el envase de harina, es el Día de la Patria, en el cual la mayoría de quienes hoy son adultos, tuvieron que pintarse con un corcho quemado los rostros para representar a los esclavos negros de 1810 y a las famosas “mazamorreras”, quienes también eran mujeres negras que cocinaban y con las cuales solía “vestirse con un toque de color” a la celebración de esta fecha patria, otra práctica que quizás también deberá ser revisada, cuando termine el período de restricción a la presencialidad.Algunos incluso comentaban que esos brazos que ahora aparecen en el paquete, dan a entender que se trata de una mujer, y que también provocaría un estigma al indicar que sólo las mujeres se encargarían de la cocina. Sin embargo aún la empresa no ha emitido opinión al respecto.
